Donna is a nationally certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a PhD in Nursing. Her undergraduate degree in nursing was obtained from Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis, Indiana. Graduate work included a Master's degree and PhD in nursing, both completed at The State University of New York at Binghamton (Binghamton University). Donna is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, a national honor society for nursing, and was recognized for excellence with her PhD dissertation. She currently researches traditional and alternative therapies in the pursuit of promoting wellness.
Donna's clinical background includes primary care management in internal medicine, mental health, and allergy, asthma and immunology. She also participated in pharmaceutical research in clinical settings. Her current mission is to promote wellness while reducing the burden of chronic illness. Donna understands the demands and limitations of primary care providers in corporate health care environments. Wellness Without Meds (C)2019 was conceived out of requests from patients who desired to reduce their daily intake of prescription medication. The intent of Wellness Without Meds is to explore safe alternatives for reducing risk while promoting wellbeing.
